Some of the best Dim Sum in Shanghai, at SOAHC restaurant

One of my favorite places for eating dim sum on weekend, to escape the crowd and avoid queuing outside some other dim sum spots is SOAHC. Now, don’t give me wrong, SOAHC is not a replacement for Cristal Jade or Din Tai Fung. SOAHC should clearly be in the top 3. While Cristal Jade and Din Tai Fung turned into huge size enterprises, SOAHC remains a family owned restaurant, of human scale, and most loyal to the highest quality of ingredients and service. More expensive than other Chinese eateries, SOAHC is a “face giver” for business dinners, a date, or great family lunches. SOAHC proposes dim sum but also Shanghai and Sichuan dishes, pleasing everyone equally. SOAHC is NOT an adaptation of Chinese food to the western taste. It is true to its origin, and mainly attracts asian guests but good food is universal and SOAHC is becoming more and more popular among the expats. The zen environment, a little pool, fishes and a cascade, its beautiful sober design brings class and the most pleasant atmosphere. With an extensive menu of over a hundred dishes, a good selection of wines and great authentic Chinese deserts, SOAHC is definitely one of my favorite Chinese restaurant in Shanghai.
